The Center for Creative Living is an affiliated member of the United Church of Religious Science. Religious Science is described as a compilation of the opinions of philosophy, the laws of science, and the revelations of religion as applied to the aspirations of humankind. Ours is a practical teaching that affirms perfect health, happiness, peace, and joy in their lives of all people.

The symbol for our community is the Rainbow, which represents Universal Oneness. When light arrives on Earth from the Sun it appears as pure white, but when that light moves through water droplets, it expands into a full spectrum of beautiful colors. For us, this symbolizes Divine Spirit, moving into physical form, individualizing as the Creative Presence within all things.

Our founders, Rev. Barbara and Dr. John Waterhouse are Ordained Religious Science Ministers. They provide a unique approach to life and to our under-standing of the Divine. For more information, click the ministers button above.

Directions to CFCL

From Downtown and Points North:
Traveling on I-240 West(I26 East), exit 31B (Brevard Road/Hwy 191). Turn left at light and travel 1/2 mile to South Bear Creek Road (just before crossing I-40). Turn right onto So. Bear Creek Rd. and stay on this road until it ends at a stop sign. Turn left onto Sand Hill Road. Center entrance is on your left.

From Points East and Near South (Black Mountain and South Asheville):
Traveling West on I-40, exit 47 (Farmers Market/Hwy 191). Go straight across at light onto South Bear Creek Road. Stay on this road until it ends at a stop sign. Turn left onto Sand Hill Road. Center entrance is on your left.

From Points South (Hendersonville) : Traveling West on I26, take Exit 31A (I40 East - toward Hickory). Stay in right lane, which is an exit lane, Exit 47 (Farmer's Market - Brevard Rd.) Take a right off exit ramp and take the very next left at light onto South Bear Creek Rd. Follow that road until it ends and take a left onto Sand Hill Road. Center entrance is on your left.
